Do I need a second shooter?
Every wedding is different, so I do not use a second shooter for every wedding. Though I am happy to discuss your day in depth more and see what works best for you!
In the mean time here is why a second shooter is useful, or why you might not need a second shooter.
Why they are useful:
First thing, If you’re having a big grand wedding, this is one area where a second shooter will definitely be helpful! When there are 150+ of you and 1 photographer, there is no way that I am going to be able to capture everything that is happening. This is when it’s great to have another person so that we’re making sure that all of the epic people that you invited are included in your wedding photos!
Second thing, Its all about scheduling, location, and your wants and needs. Say if you and your Fiancé are getting ready in two different locations and your desire is to have both of your photos taken during getting ready time, then this is a perfect time to have a second photographer. I can only be in one place and one time, so this is great to have both of us there so that we can capture both of you. This is also true for the cocktail hour. Weddings are usually laid out to where the couple will go out and take their photos during cocktail hour, so if this is the case and getting photos of people during the cocktail hour is important to you, then again, this is where a second would come in!
Third thing, all about those different angles! If having multiple angles and perspectives of important things like the ceremony is important to you, then a second is great for this.
Why you might not need a second shooter:
First thing, you might be having a small intimate wedding and 1 photographer is completely enough for you! I have shot many many weddings by my self and am completely confident to do so. If the wedding is the right size, I know that we will be able to document everything and make sure we get all the juicy moment too.
Second thing, again going back to the scheduling, location, and your wants and needs. Every wedding is SO different! So having photos of both of you getting ready, or having photos of the cocktail hour might not be a priority for you, and thats OK!
Like I said, Every wedding is COMPLETELY different, so I am happy to talk with you and see what is the best fit for you and your needs.
