Hi, Im Kara!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I'm Kara, a California girl living in San Diego with my husband! (Who is SO handsome and fun!)

Growing up I was a hopeless romantic to the core, dreaming that finding someone would be easy. I thought that once I found him, my life would play out like a movie where it swoops to the next scene; I’d be wearing a wedding dress, and spending the rest of the day celebrating! Well much to my surprise, which I’m sure you’ve found out as well, life, relationships, and planning a wedding require much more effort. Which, thank goodness because I’ve grown and learned so much more through it.

Loving someone doesn’t mean they like all the same things you like, or deal with everything the same way, or make decisions the same way. Every person is created so differently and it’s part of why being in a relationship is so great! Their differences can help us become a better person, and challenge us in a way that we couldn’t do ourselves. They give us new perspectives and life becomes so real and raw!

I remember our first year of marriage changed my life forever because I began to see how selfish I was! Obviously neither of us are perfect, but the amazing part of it, was that I got to see my husbands grace, and quickness to forgive. It was so overwhelming! I thought I REALLY loved him before we got married, but now I did even more so! I began to think about my parents and remembered how in hard times, no matter what, they would show up for each other, support each other, and encourage each other in every way possible. They would be SELFLESS toward each other! 

And THAT is what I want for your upcoming journey of marriage. I want to remind you that your wedding day isn’t the destination! You have this crazy amazing adventure coming and having walked in your shoes I want to support you along the way! Marriage is a Journey! As a photographer I want to encourage and help you let go of the fear of being vulnerable so that you can find your strengths within, and grow deeper in relationship with one another. So lets create something precious to you, so that you can remember to come back to the heart and soul of your relationship.
