Martin Johnson House Wedding in Scripps La Jolla, San Diego

The Martin Johnson House in Scripps La Jolla, San Diego is another one of my favorite venues to photograph weddings at. The Martin Johnson House is such a great venue if you are planning a wedding for a more intimate wedding that is 100 people or less.

The Martin Johnson House is on a beach cliff that overlooks the beautiful La Jolla cove. Joyce and Kenneth styled their wedding beautifully by keeping all the florals white and green with Ven Nguyen and paired it with Platinum Event Rentals. Joyce wore a dreamy lace dress with a bohemian feel from Wedding Time Bridal, and her hair and make-up was done by the amazing Crystal Bijoux Beauty. The wedding all came together beautifully and smoothly with Juliette from Simply Elegant Weddings as their Wedding Coordinator.

We made sure we timed the wedding so that we could get some bride and groom portraits at golden hour on the beach below at Scripps Beach. Golden Hour at the Martin Johnson House is a perfect place for a wedding as it softens the ocean and beach for photos.

One of my favorite parts of this wedding at the Martin Johnson House was when I was able to take Joyce and Kenneth alone and so some couple shots. It’s one thing to be with everyone you know and love on your wedding day, but it’s a whole other level when you get to see the bride and groom together alone for the first time as husband and wife. Seeing them was definitely something special, you can see for yourself as you look through the photos.
