La Jolla Engagement Photos in San Diego and Scripps

Talk about a dream shoot in La Jolla, San Diego and Scripps! Love, love, loved shooting Shea and Chase at Scripps and La jolla! Scripps and La Jolla are such an epic place to take engagement photos. 

At Scripps there are the beautiful eucalyptus trees that glow so beautifully when the sun hits them.  There are so many different places to do engagement or family photos, and in the spring all the flowers bloom to create a completely different look! Another great thing about doing engagement photos there is the epic view! You can get a full view of La Jolla once you come out of the trees! Perfect spot for a date night if you ever need an idea! 

Then when we went down to La Jolla to do more engagement photos. We got super lucky with the tide being so low that day that it exposed all the reefs and created such amazing textures! One thing I always look out for when I’m photographing weddings or engagements at the beach is the tide.  The tide can change so drastically and can really determine where you're going to do photos because certain beaches disappear at high tide, especially in La Jolla.  

Shea and Chase were so fun to photograph in the trees and on the beach.  First off, they are a stunning couple! And secondly, they interacted so easily together! People say all the time that they are terrible at photos, but that’s what makes it a little fun for me! I love helping people come out of their shell and create an experience for them with each other! Shea and Chase started out nervously giggling, but it was so cool to see them become more comfortable and interact so easily. I hope you enjoy their engagement session as much as I enjoyed photographing it!!
