The Mission Basilica San Diego de Alcala and Ville Sur Mer Wedding
The Mission Basilica San Diego de Alcala is such a great venue to photograph weddings at. The Mission Basilica is one of the old Mission churches in California and the architecture is so beautiful!
Haley and Jack had a traditional ceremony at the Mission Basilica. The Mission Basilica is already so beautiful, so we were able to take advantage of it’s lush courtyard and take some dreamy couple shots.
Once the ceremony was over, everyone made their way over to the reception which was held at Ville Sur Mer. Ville Sur Mer is an amazing home in La Jolla that is right on the water where you have your own private beach access. Ivory and Stone Events styled their wedding beautifully by keeping all the florals white and green with Splendid Setements and paired it with More Rentals and Bright Rentals. Haley wore a dreamy classy dress from Theia Couture, and her hair by Stephanie Wirkus and make-up was done by the amazing Elizabeth Root.
We made sure we timed the wedding so that we could get some bride and groom portraits at golden hour on the beach just below the house of Ville Sur Mer. Golden Hour at Ville Sur Mer is a perfect place for a wedding as it softens the ocean and beach for photos.
One of my favorite parts of this wedding at Ville Sur Mer was when I was able to take Haley and Jack alone and do some couple shots. It’s one thing to be with everyone you know and love on your wedding day, but it’s a whole other level when you get to see the bride and groom together alone for the first time as husband and wife. Seeing them was definitely something special, you can see for yourself as you look through the photos.
